How we handle your privacy
We run Spread-Bet.co.uk, and this page sets out what happens to any personal information you share with us. The site runs over SSL, and we handle your data under the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.

Getting in touch
Before we act on a request we may ask you to confirm who you are, which stops anyone else getting at your information. The contact page lists the ways to reach us.
What we collect
The information we hold comes from three places. There is what you give us directly, such as your name, email, and sometimes device or location details when you fill in a form. What you enter in our contact form or in a broker review form is sent to Formspree, the service that handles the site’s forms. There is the technical detail your browser sends with each page request, such as your IP address, which GitHub Pages (our host), Cloudflare (which delivers the site) and Google Fonts (which supplies the typefaces on some pages) process. We do not track what you do on the site. And there is a smaller amount we get from elsewhere, mainly brokers and public sources, which helps us keep our comparisons accurate.
We do not go looking for sensitive data like your ethnicity, political views, or health, and we do not ask for it. If something sensitive or unsolicited reaches us anyway, we check whether we are allowed to keep it. If we are not, we delete it or strip out anything that identifies you.
What we do with it
We use your information to keep our own records, to run market research and develop the business, and to handle the day-to-day running of the business.
Cookies, tracking and your location
The site sets no cookies for analytics or advertising and uses no web beacons. It does not ask for your location and does not use it. On pages that carry a video, YouTube loads the preview image when the page opens and the player when you press play. YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
Sharing and overseas transfers
We may pass your information to brokers and to the third-party providers who help us run the site. When we do, they are held to the standards set out here. Some of those providers, and some of our own related entities, sit outside the UK, so your data may travel abroad.
We also link out to other websites. Once you leave our site we have no control over what those sites do, so their privacy practices are their own, not ours.
How we keep it safe
We protect the information we hold with security measures designed to prevent unauthorised access, misuse, or disclosure.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to how we use it, and request a copy to take elsewhere. To do any of this, contact our privacy officer and we will deal with it promptly.
If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first so we can put it right. If you are still not happy, you can raise it with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
