About Justin Grossbard
Justin Grossbard co-founded Spread-Bet.co.uk with Noam Korbl in 2024. The two had founded the broker comparison network CompareForexBrokers together in 2014, after meeting at a forex training company, and this site is part of that network.
He has been investing since 1998 and actively trading since 2014. UK spread betting got its own site rather than a section on a forex one because it is a different product: the tax treatment differs, the FCA treats it differently, and the accounts are not the same accounts.
He has written on forex and CFD trading since 2019 for Kiplinger, Entrepreneur, Finance Magnates and MoneyShow, and was a member of the Forbes Business Council, where three of his articles were published in 2023. The membership is no longer active. Each of those author pages lists what he wrote there, which is the point of naming them rather than describing them.
What He Does Here
Justin carries the author byline on most of this site. In practice that means deciding what gets compared and on what basis — which providers are in the ranking, which attributes are worth a column, and what counts as evidence for a claim about a broker.
The rule that everything on a review page is either sourced to the provider’s own UK material with a date or is absent from the page is his, and it is why our comparison tables have gaps where other sites have estimates.
